What Is Amapiano?

The music genre known as Amapiano is a genre of
music which combines together elements of deep house and gqom with the
jazzy, soulful sound of a piano. The genre, which is an upshoot from
Afro House is fairly young, but has grown tremendously popular thanks
thanks to artists like Tall Ass Tee and The Soul Dictators, Kabza De Small, Vigro Deep
who are putting a new spin in the culture of South African music with
the new sound they have created. This is the new wave in the house music
scene.

More about African Music – GQOM?

Gqom is a genre of electronic dance music that emerged in the early 2010s from Durban, South Africa. It developed out of South African house music, kwaito and Techno.

The word gqom – sometimes expressed as qgom, igqom, gqomu or variants thereof – derives from an onomatopoeic combination of click consonants in isiZulu and isiXhosa meaning a hitting drum.
